Multicultural Day

Dear Parents,
Our class had their multicultural day last Thursday and it was a big success. The children really had a memorable experience. I wanted to take this time to thank all of the parents of class 205 for their support and hard work throughout the year. This multicultural project would not have been as successful as it was had it not been for the support of the parents and I truly appreciate it. I wish everyone a peaceful and restful summer. It has been a wonderful year for class 2-205 and I will miss each and every one of the children over the summer.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Phillips

Where are we now?

Dear Parents,
The children have been working very hard on their multicultural project. We have now visited several countries and continue to move foward with the poject. We have been to Morocco, India and Pakistan and will begin work on Bangladesh next week. The children have really taken their time learning about all of the facts for each country. I am very proud of them.
Thank you so much for responding to the letters about the multicultural luncheon. Another letter will be coming soon with more details. I am looking foward to a wonderful celebration with the students.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Phillips

Landscapes

The children had the opportunity to work with an art teacher earlier in the year. While she was with our class the children drew and painted landscapes that represented Mount Everest. We studied about Mount Everest when we researched Nepal. The children had so much fun and the results were beautiful. Take a look.

Puerto Rico Presentation - Diego's Mother and Father

Diego's parents came to our class and did a power point presentation on Puerto Rico. It was very interesting and the children learned many interesting facts about Puerto Rico. Here are some pictures from the visit.

Photos From Mrs. Alpizar's Visit

Larissa's mother came to visit our class to share the story of a trip the family took to Russia to bring Larissa home to the United States with them. The children really enjoyed her visit. Take a look at some photos from her time with us.

Marvelous Moracco

Dear Parents,
Our class has been studying about Moracco. We have learned that the capital city is Rabat and the largest city is Casablanca. We also learned that Moracco has a region known as the Sahara. The children did research on the Sahara and will be sharing their individual reports with the class. We have also been practicing our map skills by completing a map of Moracco locating some of its landmarks.
Now that we are nearing the end of this unit, our class will be moving on to India.
Next week you will be receiving a letter about our end of the year Multicultural celebration.
Looking forward to seeing you then.
Again thank you for your support and cooperation.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Phillips
